Classes Overview

Beginner Agility Foundation Dog Training
The  focus of this group class is on safety and fun while building a good foundation for future agility training adventures.  Every dog begins on leash.  After careful consideration and observation by the All Fours training staff, some dogs may earn the privilege of being off leash.  Others will enjoy their agility experience while on leash.  Dogs will gain confidence, focus, coordination and physical exercise and so will the handlers!

This class will introduce all dog/handler teams to basic obstacle performance and foundation handling skills.  Individual obstacles will be introduced by the All Fours trainers including: jumps, contact obstacles (teeter, A-frame and dogwalk), open tunnels, closed tunnels, weave poles, pause table, and tire.  Basic obedience skills for agility, targeting skills, relationship building skills, improving and channeling drives, obstacle focus, handler focus and confidence building will be covered, as well.  Pre-requisite: Although basic obedience skills are recommended, our experienced staff of trainers will happily help you learn the obedience skills necessary to participate in agility class. Each class session is by pre-registration only.  No drop-ins.  Each 8 week THURSDAY EVENING class session has a specific start date, end date and class time.  On Thursday evenings.  Be sure to check out the "Upcoming Events" for the next available class session start dates and times.

Intermediate Agility Dog Training
At this level dogs should be competent on all obstacles with a solid understanding of weaves, teeter, etc..  Off leash control and sequencing will be further explored. The focus here is to begin to working on more sophisticated sequences of obstacles while implementing handling maneuvers first introduced during the Beginner/Foundation Agility class.
Pre-requisite: Instructor approval.  Satisfactory completion of an ALL FOURS Beginner/Foundation level class or proficiency equivalent via private lessons.
On Thursday evenings.  Be sure to check out the "Upcoming Events" for the next available class session start dates and times.

Advanced Competition Agility Dog Training
This class is for dog and handler teams with off leash control including solid stays and independent obstacle performance.  Additional topics will include proofing obstacle performance,  fine tuning advanced/competition handling skills, competition etiquette, and competition preparation for all levels of agility competition.  Although class participants are not required to compete, at this level many dog/handler teams in the class are competing at the Excellent/Master level at agility trials.   Some of the dogs in this class already have or are working towards their Master Agility Champion title - MACH.

Pre-requisite: Instructor approval.  Satisfactory completion of an ALL FOURS Intermediate level class or proficiency equivalent via private lessons.
On Thursday evenings.  Be sure to check out the "Upcoming Events" for the next available class session start dates and times.

Rally Obedience  Private Training
Rally makes a great entry-level class for both obedience and agility. But don't be fooled! Rally can still be a challenge. You must work closely as a team as you negotiate the course, heeling from sign to sign and performing one of the many different exercises. Some are quite complex (there are over 50 different exercises to choose from).  It's a great way to build confidence in a shy dog or to teach enhanced focus skills to those dogs who are easily distracted and find conventional obedience a bit too boring.
Available via private lessons only.  To inquire about availability and to schedule your private lesson simply click on "Private Training Scheduling" and select your date and time!

Custom Canine Fitness and Conditioning Private Training

Dogs of all ages, types and sizes have benefitted from custon canine fitness and conditioning training with Dee.  Puppies gain confidence, increase balance, improve body awareness and proprioception.  This will prepare your puppy for a lifetime of active endeavors and will increase the working relationship you are building with your dog.

Senior dogs, as well as, retired sport dogs will benefit from a fitness program.  The senior custom fitness program is designed to offset the effects of aging like the osteoarthritic changes that accompany muscle atrophy.  If your aging pet is having trouble getting up and down the stairs, we can help.

Overweight dogs will benefit from our fitness program by taking off those extra pounds, stimulating them mentally and adding to a healthy life span.

Dollars and cents...
For years there has been a "continuing education" discount for the All Fours Agility Classes at Windy City K9 Club. The purpose of the program is to reward those who are continuing to train their dogs by offering financial incentives. This is how it works.

The first time your dog is registered for/participates in any Thursday night All Fours agility class the class fee is $225.

These fees apply to 8 week sessions and are subject to change in the future.
