Agility Class Overview
Information around the different levels of classes offered
Discover our range of agility classes for all levels of dog and handler teams. From beginner to advanced, our experienced trainers will guide you and your furry friend through a fun and safe agility training adventure.
Beginner Agility Foundation Dog Training
Our Beginner Agility Foundation class is perfect for building a solid foundation for future agility training. With a focus on safety and fun, every dog begins on a leash until our trainers feel comfortable allowing them off-leash. Dogs will gain confidence, focus, coordination, physical exercise, and handlers will learn about targeting skills, relationship building, drives, obstacle focus, handler focus, and confidence building. Pre-registration is required, and the class spans seven weeks on Monday evenings. No drop-ins are permitted, so be sure to check out our "Upcoming Events" for start dates and times. Basic obedience skills are recommended, but our trainers can teach the necessary skills.
Intermediate Agility Dog Training
At our Intermediate Agility class, your dog should be competent with all obstacles, including weaves and teeter. Off-leash control and sequencing will be explored further, with a focus on more sophisticated sequences of obstacles and advanced handling maneuvers introduced during the Beginner/Foundation Agility class. To attend, satisfactory completion of an All Fours Beginner/Foundation level class or equivalent proficiency via private lessons and instructor approval are required.
Advanced Competition Agility Dog Training
Our Advanced Competition Agility class is suitable for dog and handler teams with off-leash control, including solid stays and independent obstacle performance. Participants will learn about proofing obstacle performance, fine-tuning advanced/competition handling skills, competition etiquette, and competition preparation for all levels of agility competition. Although competing is not mandatory, most participants at this level are competing at the Excellent/Master level at agility trials. Pre-registration is required, and the class spans seven weeks on Monday evenings. No drop-ins are permitted, so be sure to check out our "Upcoming Events" for start dates and times.
Rally Obedience Private Training
Rally Obedience is a great entry-level class for both obedience and agility. It challenges dog and handler teams to negotiate a course, heeling from sign to sign, and performing a variety of exercises. Available only via private lessons, Rally Obedience can help build confidence in shy dogs, teach enhanced focus skills to easily distracted dogs, and make obedience training more exciting.
